Last month I had the pleasure to welcome Nicoletta the lady behind the One quarter Greek project, in my kitchen for two lovely days of cooking and chatting about Greece, food and life.

“As an expat you might feel homesick sometimes, and food is your therapy when feeling blue.
Food allows you to recreate some of the conditions that make you feel at home even if you are far from it.
Only the act of cooking can remind you of your family, the aroma coming up from the burners can transport you to your homeland, virtually.
Well, the result can be tricky sometimes as not always you will find superb ingredients as you’d do in your country.
There comes the challenge!

If you have tried her soutzoukakia (meatballs), the best I have ever tried (Greece included), you know what I mean. She is a magician!”
